I used to serve in a church in which the administrator did everything in Publisher. She showed me on the church computer how good it was at so many things and I was duly impressed. If you’re like me you probably have friends who have Microsoft publisher files they occasionally email you. Sadly there is no way to open a Microsoft publisher file on a Mac, until now Here are two websites that can convert Microsoft publisher files to PDF. You can then open, read and print the pdf file on your Mac. You can even edit them.
You essentially can't in it's current form.
To the best of my knowledge, the only way to open .pub files on a Mac is to convert the file to another readable format.
One way to do that is with Adobe Pagemaker through Classic.
Alternatively I believe pdfonline allows for free conversions. I haven't used it myself, but I have heard it works.

If you have access to a computer running windows, programs like 'deskPDF', or 'CutePDF' are programs that converts .pub files to .pdf files.
Or the better solution if you have a windows machine is to just go ahead and get Microsoft Publisher which will allow you to edit the files.
Lastly, there are rumours that Office 2007 might have some export tools that allow you move .pub files around more easily.
You might have better success if the person who created the .pub file saves it in another format. Perhaps EMF.
